(yes, i know i am starting a new thread when one already exists, but most of you know me by now...).
the 'true' worshippers of god are those that worship him... in spirit... and in truth.
Aguest,
You sure like the word "peace" don't you? Were you a hippie in the 60's?

i just received this from a loyal jw.. 2002 district convention theme: "zealous kingdom.
proclaimers".
Let's see...
66,111,852 Booklets, Magazines, etc.
Average Printing Each Issue 23,042,000 x 2 per month x 12 months=
553,008,000 per year of the WT only (we won't even factor in Awake)
Bottom line: That's a lot of garbage going in the landfills. I hope JW's use their recycle bins.

i've just come back from the weekend snooze (know to others as the circuit assembly hall in bristol).. the local congregations paid a fortune for the assembly hall to be built.
it was a major build with purchase of land and construction costing a fortune - and paid for by voluntary donations.
however our po has informed me that the circuit was charged 4,300 for the weekend assembly!

out of a total of 52 volumes, jesus christ is not mentioned even once.. _________.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but...
The writings of Josephus contain brief comments about Jesus, but scholars theorize that those comments were added later by Christians trying to "stack the deck" in their favor. If this is true, than Josephus fails to mention him too.
Hmmm.......

as a jw elder.
a major rift had developed on the body of elders.
I was not an elder, just a MS. But when the CO wanted me out, he had the elders sign a blank report, then he filled it in later.

can someone please help me understand who pays for their materials.
in the country where i live, it seems they distribute their literature free of charge.
